We purchase in bulk and leverage each $5 donation into $30 worth of basic hygiene for someone in need. That person feels less alone, and can live with greater dignity. By providing for their basic hygiene needs, the homeless stay healthier, which reduces the spread of disease and the strain on our tax payer funded emergency rooms. Furthermore, when basic needs are met, local crime is reduced, and the homeless are more likely to feel valued, connected, and willing to re-enter the work force.
Who ARE we
We are unpaid volunteers working from our homes. 100% of each donation goes to helping those in need (no salaries, fundraising, or office expenses). We help because we have seen the difference that each helpful care bag can make. On this website you will find links to create your own Angel bags, or let us do it for you. Please consider the power of a $5 donation to bring about meaningful change.
Meeting Chris
Over the years we have donated our limited time and resources to shelters, charities and those in need on the street. We resisted giving cash over our concerns of drug abuse, so we provided what we thought was needed (food and clothing).
One day we met Chris, a kind man with a wonderful smile (it is his picture on the main webpage) as he greeted Van Nuys shoppers. Chris is a proud man that wasn't looking for charity, but a helping hand while he learned new skills at the community center. Chris identified hygiene as his greatest daily need (wet wipes, dental care, first aid) since food and water were easier for him to find, and thus was born the "Angel bag".
